Overview
Reorderly ("the App") is a Shopify embedded application that helps merchants manage inventory reordering. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
What Data We Collect
When you install Reorderly, we access the following data from your Shopify store through the Shopify API:
- Product and variant data -- titles, SKUs, variant details, and inventory levels. Used to display your inventory dashboard and calculate stock status.
- Order data -- line items and quantities from recent orders. Used solely to calculate sales velocity (how fast products are selling) for inventory forecasting. We do not access or store customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, or any other customer personally identifiable information (PII).
- Inventory levels -- current stock quantities. Used to determine reorder status and updated when you receive stock through a purchase order.
We also store the following data that you provide directly within the App:
- Supplier information -- names, email addresses, and lead times for your suppliers.
- Purchase orders -- PO details, line items, and status.
- App settings -- your email address (for digest notifications), Slack webhook URL (if configured), and inventory calculation preferences.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to provide the App's functionality:
- Calculating daily sales velocity and days of stock cover
- Determining product reorder status (safe, reorder soon, reorder now, slow moving)
- Generating and sending purchase orders to your suppliers via email
- Sending you weekly inventory digest emails (if enabled)
- Sending you Slack alerts when products need reordering (if configured)
- Adjusting Shopify inventory levels when you receive stock through a purchase order
